Village of Manlius Comprehensive Plan and NY Forward Application
About the Project
The Village of Manlius is updating its existing 2007 Comprehensive Plan to guide future growth, investment, and stewardship of its unique assets, while concurrently preparing a New York Forward (NY Forward) application that will provide $4.5 million in funding for projects in the Village core. The updated Comprehensive Plan will be informed by analysis of demographics, housing, economic conditions, transportation, the natural environment, and anticipated growth trends, along with extensive community input to identify local needs and values. The NY Forward application will highlight past and proposed investments, job growth, and the Village’s defining characteristics, and will be supported by targeted outreach efforts.
Together, these documents will serve as a roadmap to guide the Village in achieving equity, economic vitality, community appeal, and sustainable growth. Both documents will be informed by community feedback through various engagement methods.

Public Meetings in the Village Centre Auditorium @ 1 Arkie Albanese Ave., Manlius, NY
- The first Village of Manlius Comprehensive Plan and New York Forward (NYF) application public meeting was held on July 16, 2026, at the Manlius Village Auditorium from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. The purpose of the public meeting was to introduce the comprehensive planning process to the community, gather input on the previous comprehensive plan goals, participants’ values that should shape the vision statement, and gauge project ideas for the New York Forward (NY Forward) application. The public meeting was held in an open-house format, during which participants were encouraged to move around the room to interact with various display boards. Project Team members were present to answer participants’ questions and engage in discussion.
